Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house revenue won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners nsfas 2025 do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
